Anyone trying to sign into Hertfordshire Students’ Union website this week may be greeted with the following message:
Problems logging in? It has come to our attention that following our Elections that took place last week a small number of votes were cast by people using incorrect accounts on our website. We would like to make very clear that no personal data was lost or viewable during this illegitimate access to our website and we are confident the problem has now been resolved. However, to ensure that only the right person is accessing your account, we need all students to now revalidate their accounts in order to continue using particular areas of our site. You will have been sent an email to the email address you used to register for the site asking you to revalidate your account. Please follow the instructions in the email to revalidate your account. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience at this time – if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on email@example.com
This is following the cancellation of the Elections results party last Friday, due to an ongoing investigation into irregular voting activity.
Trident Media will bring you more information as it becomes available.
